It doesn't matter one bit. My father went through his who life being
Robert William Smith. It's on his Social Security card, his driver's
license and his death certificate.
When I ordered his birth certificate, I was astounded to find that his
name was William Robert Smith, same as his uncle. ...and both of them
went by Bob. So what was the point of the first name?
I can only surmise that since he went by Bob in school, they would call
him Robert in their records and so he put the William after that.
And ya know what? I forgot where I was going with this! I must be
getting "Old-Timer's" disease. (or maybe it was the worms in my sushi
boring thru my brain.)
Jim
Thank God it's Saturday! Another cup of Peet's please.
