Jill,

While the below message may be wonderful for some, NorCal has been around
a long time with our own peculiar way of handling things. Folks say
please & thank you - publicly. We have more volunteers than you can
shake a stick at and more gets done here than any other list I've been
on. Oh, and yes, we make friends and have a bit of fun at times.

It's part of our process to say "I've got it!" so others won't chase down
the same info and we all share our successes and losses. Results are
most important. How can you learn what is out there if you don't see
what people get.

In short, we have responded more times than I care to count to those who
came from more restrictive lists regarding the NorCal way. Please be
patient and get used to it. You'll get more here than anywhere else. If
not, there are other lists like Western Roots that covers the same areea
but with a little different attitude (and not a bad one - I'm on both).

My best,
Jim
