Remember, the ZIP code on the SSDI is the location the death benefit was
sent to. Thus it's only a probable indicator of death location since the
executor, the mortuary or whomever would have it sent to their ZIP code.
I don't know what if anything can be done about it, the zip codes are not
cast in stone. The ones for southwest Riverside Co., CA were shuffled
around a few years ago. My current one (92563) for Murrieta used to be
Hemet or Palm Springs, I forget which.
