Hi Larry, I recently posted this URL = a faq of SS Admin and Numbering
questions.
http://members.aol.com/rechtman/ssafaq.html
If you go to 1.14 (What is the meaning of each segment of the Social
Security Number?) you will see that they reference a pamphlet :"The
Social Security Number" (Pub. No. 05-10633) provides an explanation of
the SSN's structure and the method of assigning and validating Social
Security numbers.
Has anyone obtained this phamphlet?? If so does it give any more info
that found at the site about the numbering system???
The site has lots of information-
Enjoy, Carolyn
