I really appreciate your looking this up for me, but I really don't think the
information you found is for my Daniel. The Danial L. Rhoads you found would
have been born in about 1857, while mine was born in 1835.

What I suspect is that he died before 1905 and thus is probably not listed in
the California Death Index.

I appreciate all your help, and the help of everyone who responded to my plea
for help.
