John MEYERS, who lives in the Cottonwood country, has found on his place
what he believes to be an indication of oil. It is in the bottom of
Cottonwood Creek, just away from the running water, and covering the pools
is a dark, oily substance that may be an indication of oil beneath the
surface. Mr. MEYERS says he knows nothing at all about oil springs, oil
wells, etc., but will later bring some of this liquid to town for
examination by someone who does.
