William CARNEY, a Canadian by birth, aged about 37 years, at work for
Wm. HILL of Healdsburg, on his ranches in Vallejo and Forestville for
the last 12 years, was accidentally killed near Guerneville, on
Saturday, Sept. 28th, by being thrown from his wagon. He leaves a wife
and was buried at Cypress Cemetery.

native of S.C., aged 68y.

Yesterday, Rev. HENRY and family, moved into the Walter FIELD cottage on
Sheridan St. opposite the Adventist College.

Wednesday, a tenant of one of the disreputable houses in North
Healdsburg, named Mollie BEAMIN took an overdose of laudunum with
suicidal intent. She took the poison in the presence of Ed. PRUETT in
his saloon on West St., north of Healdsburg, stating at the time that
she was taking it for the purpose of killing herself, but PRUETT paid no
attention. She was 28 or 30 years old, died on Oct. 10th, and interred
at Oak Mound. (long story in this issue)
Luella, youngest daughter of Julius HAUPT, died Friday, Oct. 4th, and
was buried the following Sunday in Riverside Cemetery.

Died near Santa Rosa, Oct. 4, 1889, George SCHOMBERG, native of Bavaria,
aged 73y.
We understand that Mrs. NORTHUP, of Geyserville, died on Sunday, at her
home, from hemorrhage caused by the bursting of a blood vessel while
coughing. She contracted a bad cold while in San Francisco a few days
ago, but its fatal results were entirely unexpected. The deceased was
buried at Oak Mound on Tuesday.
William HATTON is no more. His sufferings are at an end. He departed
this life Friday week at Winters, Yolo co., at the home of his sister.
He belonged to Friendship Lodge, Knights of Pythias, of Healdsburg.
G.F. KING has purchased the agency for Sonoma County, for the New Era
Hydraulic clothes washer. He has already sold 10 dozen, and he is
pleased to note the great satisfaction they are giving.
