My parents are blessed with boxes of family memorabilia from the last 150
years. I've been putting things in archival tissue and folders for some
time, but now I'd like to bring a bit of order to the chaos. We have
letters, maps, photographs, albums, drawings, even baby shoes.

Does anyone on this wonderful list have suggestions for managing a family
collection? Are there particular reference works or classes you have found
helpful? I'd appreciate any leads on this subject, on the web or in print.
As a certified computer geek, I like to computerize things when possible.
