Died at Philadelphia, Pa., Feb. 3, 1862, Elizabeth, mother of S. PAYRAN,
Esq., of Vallejo, in the 83d year of her age.

A little daughter of Mr. Texas WILLIAMS, while playing with some other
children, on last Saturday, had its hand badly cut with an ax, which
another child was cutting sticks with. Her two forefingers were cut

The hotel at the Geyser Springs will be kept the coming season by Mr.
Frank COES. Mr. S.B. LUSK has taken Ray's Station, halfway between
Healdsburg and Geyserville.

A young German named B. HELLRICH, aged 28y, who had formerly been in the
employ of Reed DUTTON, at Tomales, Marin Co., met with an accidental
death. Caused by the accidental discharge of a shot-gun, in the hands of
Mr. DUTTON.

On a trip to San Francisco Wednesday, the 9th, on the steamer
'Princess', from Sonoma, a lady passenger, named Mrs. MEAGHER, gave
birth to a son. The interesting incident occurred in San Francisco Bay.

children, two boys and a girl, all doing well.

ready for the trip to the Salmon River Mines, the names of some of those
who left on Monday, most of whom are from Analy and Santa Rosa are; Wm.
