It is too bad that you are in Wisconsin. If you were at the County Seat in
Butte County, you could look it up in the County Recorders Office. However,
since you are not and you do not have the description of the property whereon
the mine lies, you are in a little bit of a bind. The best that I can advise
you would be to contact the Title Insurance office in the Capitol of Butte
county, Which is I believe, Oroville. Tell them what you know and they can
find out all that you desire to know about the ownership of that mine.
