I am trying to find out more about my Great Grandmother. Her name was Rosia
Hahn. What I know is that she was born is San Francisco 11-20-1865. She
died in 1948. She married Richard E Barron in 1885 & I think they had 9 or
11 children. Her mother was Catherine - I would like to know HER maiden
name. Catherine died in January 17, 1902. She is buried in St. Mary's
Cemetary in Oakland/Alameda. The date of birth I have for her is August 9,
1827. The census say she was born in Prussia. How did she get to California?

It looks like Catherine was married to Jacob Hahn & they lived in SF until
1878. Then she showed up on the 1880 census in Alameda County and there is
no mention of Jacob. So If Jacob Hahn is indeed Rosa Hahn-Barron's father -
what did he do? Did he die? The 1880 census says the childrens father was
born in Wittenburg,Germany - how did he get to California?

I'm coming to California in about 6 weeks, but if these folks are in any
body's study group -I would appreciate any information - The more I find out
- the more curious I get about them - thanks - mw
