Marge - There's a whole library of books that couldl be written about the asylums. Thanks for the stories.

What about Agnews? I've found family on both sides (explains one or two things!) who were in Agnews at census-taking time. One died of tb shortly after. Was Agnews always just a mental hospital, or did it have other wards?

Can anyone recommend a book on Agnews?
