Hi,
Since I'm new to the list I'd like to introduce myself. I'm from
Michigan, USA researching my grandfathers family from England. He his
name was Fredrick Percy FLATMAN and he was born in Croyden in 1900. His
mother was Katherine Matilda BIDDLECOMBE (b.1869)and I have just since
found out that she may have been born in Kings Lynn, Norfolk. She
married Fredrick FLATMAN (b.1866-England)in Port Huron, Michigan in
1893. Her parents where: Thomas Edward BIDDLECOMBE (b.1839 in
Northwood, Ham) and Clementina Comfort CARPENTER (b.1843 in Ham).
Katherine had eight siblings-four where born in England and four in
Michigan. The four in England where: Louisa E. (b.1860-married Gilbert
Turner and Marvin L. Light), Alice Blance (b.1862 in East Cowes-married
William Clark Price), Harry (b.1865-I would like to find more informatin
on him), and Ernest Clement (b.1867-I would like to find more informatin
on him also). It seems they traveled back and forth from England to
Michigan quite abit. Thomas Edward's parents were Samuel BIDDLECOMBE
and Jane CHEVERTON and Clementina's parents were Henry CARPENTER and Ann
MCGEE. If anyone has any information to share I'd be most appreciated.
Thank you.
