Looking for information on William Jaggs, mariner, born about 1803, King's
Lynn, Norfolk and his family. William Jaggs married Elizabeth King at St.
Nicholas 16 November 1829. Children (all born in Kings Lynn): Elizabeth Ann
Jaggs, b 9 Mar 1830, Austen Street. Bap St. Nick 30 March 1830. Amelia Jaggs
b 25 April 1832, Coronation Gardens, bap St. Nick 17 May 1832. Thomas Greaves
Jaggs, b 24 Mar 1834, Chapel Lane. Bap St. Nick 9 June 1836. Ann Jaggs, b 6
May 1836, Pleasant Row, Bap St. Nick 9 June 1836. William, b 1837. Amelia
Jaggs, b 1842 (?). Amy Daniel Jaggs, b 8 Oct. 1843, Pleasant Row. Mary
Jaggs, bap All Saints 5 July 1846. John, b 1850.
The family appears on the 1841 and 1851 census, living on Pleasant Row.
However they are not on the 1861 census.
Ann Jaggs married William Alexander Downing in London in 1860. Her sister
Amelia (living with Ann at the time) married William Killick in 1879 in
London.
I'd like to know William Jaggs' parents and exact date of birth and death,
Elizabeth King's parents and her date of birth and death, as well as the fates
of Ann's and Amelia's brothers and sisters. Could Elizabeth Jaggs have
married a man named Archer?
I'm also curious about James Magness who married Ann King on 18 Dec. 1808 at
Saint Nicholas Church, King's Lynn. Is Ann King related to Elizabeth King?
Because I don't subscribe to this list, please respond to .
Thanks -- Mary (who visited King's Lynn recently and found much info at True's
Yard --also enjoyed seeing the church where my great grandmother was baptized.
In general, loved the town!)
