Cressingham, Great, On the Watton side of village, a very fine brick
house of 1545 with tree turrets; all decorated with terra-cotta panels,
alternately a monogram and a hand holding a hawk; known as Gt.
Cressingham Priory. St Michael's church has a fine Perpendicular tower
brooding over the council houses, and a chancel of about 1300 with very
pointed arcades and nice window tracery. In the nave, Norwich School
glass, including feathered angels, in N aisle; and four good brasses.
