Am writing you for two reasons. One is that I have ROUSE in my tree
(better than a mouse in the house!). They were of German extract and I
don't know much about them other than William Rouse married Charlotte
Lonsway in Grey Co (I think), Ontario, Canada. Many of them changed or
had changed for them, the spelling of the last name to ROWS. Like I
said, that's about all I know of them, so don't know if we could show
any connection.

Secondly, my husband's great grandfather emigrated to Australia. He
settled in Gympie, Qld. He died there in October 1939. I have a copy of
the cemetary record (which doesn't tell me much). I was wondering if you
know where I should write to find out when he landed in Australia. We
think it is 1937 and that he landed in Brisbane. His name was Arthur
Koettlitz (though a wonderful gentleman informed us that he was known
locally as Arthur Fisher!). He was buried as Arthur Koettlitz. Can you
help me with that?

Just remembered one more thing, and had to dig it out. Reginald
Blackadder (Arthur's son, long story on the change of name) was married
to Violet Standing. They died in Sydney in 1969 a few months apart. They
had a daughter, Joan who also died in Sydney in 1971. She married a
Raymond Eggleston in St Luke's Church at 4 John St, Darlington, Co
Durham on 6 July 1949 (is this in Australia?). Could you give me an
address to write for death certificates for them? Is there a cemetary
look up for Australia?

I hope I haven't overwhelmed you with questions but I was talking with
my father in law and these were questions that came up.
