Thanks, but I think you missed my point. What I found odd was that a young
GIRL that OLD was still receiving an education, whether in school or at home.
Here in the US, the majority of unmarried, young women at 15 years of age in
the 1850's would have been working to help support the family. Or maybe, even
engaged! My family were MIDDLE CLASS people (Weavers), not WEALTHY. I just
wanted to inquire as to British customs to see if perhaps this might have been
an error in the Census.
