Thanks for your information re migration especially emigration. Does your
book tell you who authorised payments of passages and to who? It could be
the answer to how, given the average weelky wage in Norfolk at the time my
husbands family emigrated, could have paid 28 pounds for their passage. But
if it had been part what was organised by Poor Commission, it would have
meant a family of nine were "off" their books.
