Hello!
I am writing to announce the arrival of the THURLOW One Name Study on-line at:
http://jrose.dynip.com/thurlow/
Please drop by for a visit. The THURLOW One Name Study to date includes information on over 10 000 individuals including spouses.
The THURLOWs are an old East Anglian family going back to as early as the mid-1300s. The surname is derived from the village of Great Thurlow, Suffolk near the borders with Cambridge and Essex. The family has also been well established in London for almost as long.
Prominent members of the family include John THURLOE, Secretary of State to Oliver Cromwell in the 1650s and Baron Edward THURLOW, 1st Baron of Thurlow and Ashfield (Suffolk) and Lord Chancellor of Great Britain under King George III in the late 1700s. You will find biographies of these individuals plus much more of interest to the family on the site.
