The Worshipful Company of Basketmakers was a City of London Livery Company,
ie a trade association for basket makers within the City only, and had no
authority over basket makers elsewhere.
However, a master craftsman in another town or city, such as Norwich, might
have belonged to one or other of the local guilds and could have become a
Freeman of the Borough, so there may be records of basket makers in the
Freedom and Apprenticeship records of Norfolk boroughs such as King's Lynn,
Norwich and Yarmouth
