Dear Liz
In response to your query regarding the "Trafalgar Road Board School" at
Great Yarmouth, I found this school on the l87l Census under the
following entry. My ancestors owned and ran the Holkham Hotel, Marine
Parade, back then and I have found mention of the school on the same
Census page:

Regent Municipal Ward of Gt. Yarmouth, Norfolk
School House
Trafalgar Road
"Grammar School"

John RAVEN, Head, Mar., 37, B.D. Clerk in Holy Orders and Schoolmaster,
b. Boston, Lincs.
Fanny RAVEN, Wife, Mar., 35, b. Suffolk, Botesdale
Frans H.S. RAVEN, Son, l0, Scholar, b. Bungay, Suffolk
William R. RAVEN, Son, 8, Scholar, b. Bungay
Alexr. J. RAVEN, Son, 6, b. Bunday

Might not be of much use to you but perhaps the RAVENS were still
schoolmasters at the time of your ancestors!
