I'm also researching GREEN's, mine are from Hevingham, Norfolk.

I am researching these names Green - Phillips- Whitney - Cocker- Barker-
Dennis - Hallam. I know that our great grand father came from East Rudham
/west Rudham -Syderstone area his name Isaac Green. He left the area and
travelled to Tasmania as an indentured plough man for David Gibson of Perth
Does any one know what happened in this area about 1855 -1860 that caused an
exodusfrom the area of agricultural workers?
