Hi Lillian,
O'Byrnes only came out in a couple of editions; I think about 1840, & 1848 ;
mostly for the services of officers in the Napoleonic wars. Cmdr. BIGNOLD
would not appear in O'Byrnes, but there should be plenty on him in the Navy
Lists. His Record of Service should also be available, but you would need a
researcher in the U.K. to obtain the info. I used to get info. directly
from the Admiralty Library, but they gave up giving info. a long time ago,
due to a shortage of staff. It would be worth checking on your libraries,
as it is quite likely that they would have some Navy Lists.
