After many years of searching for my husband's Norfolk ancestors I have finally discovered that some of my own hail from the Loddon Langley Chedgrave area.
I have John Stimpson born about 1818 Chedgrave, my 3xggrandfather, who is in Marylebone, London in 1871 as a 'Keeper of Animals in Zoological Gardens'. I have searched the 1851 for other STIMPSON families in this area and there are several. I would be interested in hearing from anyone else researching this family.
My John married a lady from Essex, Charlotte, and they had Alexander, my ancestor; Charlotte, William and Leonard.
Alexander married Annie HOOKINS and their daughter Daisy married Frederick James ROACH my great grandfather. All these lived in St Pancras area until 1950s.
