Hi Listers,

I was wondering if someone could shed some light on a couple of things?

I have a death cert and it states my ancestor was a Trinity Pensioner. What

exactly does this mean?

Another ancestor was a Master Carter. What is the difference between a
Carter and a Master Carter? Also what would the job entail?

Is there anywhere I can find out more about the above?

All help very much appreciated.
