She new of a Willimot family who lived in a cottage on Wood Farm because

were also WIllimotts. My grandfather worked on an adjacent farm.
Anyway, my mum says the farm was located on the Old Catton or Spixworth
road out of Horsham St. Faith. I'll have a look on some old maps I
have and let you know if I find any reference to same.

There's a Wood Farm at Horstead (TG267167) but I picked up on this because
something in the back of my mind made me think that the Petans Oil field
training centre on Bullock Hill Horsham might be on the site of Wood Farm, but I
am not sure.
It might be on here-

which might be your only chance of finding it because it might have
disappeared under the airfield.
I have looked on sheet TG 21/31 (1:25,000) which has as its western most
point the A140 Holt Road which skirts the airfield, and can't see it on Church
Lane from Horsham to Spixworth, part of Quaker Lane is under the airfield
and I must assume( since I am not old enough or local enough to know what it
was like before) that the Horsham to Old Catton lane is also under the runways.
Of course the farm could have been renamed.
The aviation museum at Horsham might be able to help. The one at Blickling
Hall has maps which show what was at Oulton before the Airbase was built so the
one at Horsham might have the same.

Hope this helps,
