Jonathan Norman b. abt 1755 place unknown, d. abt 1833 TN probably Bedford Co.
m. Sarah (Sally) Bobo b. 1759 VA dau of Lewis Bobo
Their daughter Rebecca Norman b. 2 Feb 1781 Union Co SC, d. 19 Dec 1859 Howard
Co (then Pike) Arkansas.
m. Charles Jones, b. 1777 Union Co SC, d. 25 July 1833 TN, had 13 children.
I believe Jonathan to be the son of George Norman, will recorded 28 Jan 1794
Union Co SC. Jonathan was a Revolutionary War soldier and was mentioned in
court papers of Union Co. in the 1790's. I believe he moved his family to
Bedford Co. TN in about 1810 along with a group from Union Co. including
Bobos, Joneses, Normans, and Floyds. Many from the group later moved to Pike
Co. AR (now Howard Co.), and my line, Wiley B. Jones (son of Charles Jones &
Rebecca Norman) moved to Texas.
