Jerry,
This will be great news IF some documentation of this information could be
provided.
So far, I have yet to see any official documentation of our Henry Norman
having a middle initial of "B" other than listings on WFT. As we all know,
there are many many errors in this data due to persons submitting
unsubstantiated data. I know that there was some relationship between the
Norman family and the Bennet family. Until I see some official data showing
his name as Henry B. Norman, I will continue to believe such listings using
this initial WERE probably a mistake due to confusion with the yournger Henry
Bennet Norman.
There are official records of at least two Henry Norman marriages in Tyrrell
Co, NC. One is to Sarah Bonner in 1784 and the other is to Elizabeth
Brickhouse in 1899. One could use a little imagination and conclude that our
Henry could have been the groom in both of these marriages. However, I don't
think there is enough evidence to support that conclusion or the conclusion
the our Henry married either one of these individuals.
If indeed our Henry Norman had a middile intiaI of "B" or that he did marry
Ruth Abney, I would hope that the evidence of this information stands up to
indpendent scrutiny and tests. I would also hope that this evidence would
support connections to the early Normans in Williamson Co. (including
Solomon, David & Jonathan).
