do you or anyone know more about this mumming? I live
just north of Philadelphia, PA and every New Year's
Day, Philly has a huge, day long event called the
Mummers Parade. Different clubs perform for prizes
for costuming, string band music with skits, etc.
It's very beautiful, but the thing that makes it the
Mummers Parade is the Mummers strut. Every year the
tv announcers discuss possible origins of the parade.
Is this similar?
