I have now received the details of the marriage between John Johnson and Sarah Chipman and guess what - there is nothing very helpful apart from confirming that John was born in Guisborough. The witnesses were 'professionals', probably the Wardens at the church. The wedding date was Christmas day (the only day they have off work?) and everyone else was busy having Christmas pud somewhere else. So not very helpful. Pity.
