I wonder if SKS has acess to baptism records for Alnwick,and could spare the time to do a look up for me please?
I am trying to trace details of the birth of my.Gt. gt.grandmother Eleanor SHADE. She was 20 when she married William Laidler ROBERTSON at Holy Trinity S.Shields on Dec 7 1874, daughter of Archibald SHADE, and 26 on the 1881 census.(born Alnwick) So I reckon she was born 1854-55. I would prefer to obtain her birth cert. from the local registrar rather than the GRO. but I don't have date or church.
Also does anyone know please which Registrar would be relevant for an Alnwick birth certificate?
Any help would be much appreciated.
