John Edward Thompson Milburn known as "Wor Jackie" was a cousin of Cissie
Charlton (nee Milburn)

You mentioned "I believe there was another famous Footie Player from the
Ashington area" actually it is players.

Jack Milburn grandfather of Jackie & Cissie played for Northumberland before
the 1900s. Also Alec Milburn (Ashington), Tanner Milburn (Ashington) the
fathers of Jackie & Cissie. Then there was the cousins of Jackie, and
Cissies brothers Jack Milburn(Leeds United), George Milburn (Leeds United &
Chesterfield), Jim Milburn (Leeds United), Stan Milburn (Chesterfield &
Leicester City), plus of course Cissie's sons Jack Charlton (Leeds United) &
Bobby Charlton (Manchester United).
