I seem to recall that "The Sportsman's Arms" was in the main street at
Leadgate On the sign above the door was a whippet passant flanked by
partridge dexter and pheasant sinistra - both deid, en bas a brace of
Purdeys rampant. Told you I had a mis-spent youth. Alex
