Well, there's funny! I noted that Heather Punshon was interested in
WRANGHAMs and copied out something I found when trawling through a film,
only to discover as I worked through the film next time, that the Timothy
Wrangham concerned, in Kirk Merrington, was a direct ancestor of mine!
My other names are
BACON - in DUR, NBL and CUL from the 1670's
DARNELL - Wolsingham, Lanchester, and in the 19C, Newcastle, Gateshead and
other parts of DUR
GARTHORN - Hamsterley
CURRY - Bishop Oak, Wolsingham
SMITH - Chester-le-Street
I haven't come across a single other researcher of my DUR-NBL families so
far, so would be delighted to hear from anyone who is interested. There are
other names associated with them, such as
CROUDACE,
WOOLER,
EMMERSON,
TAYLOR,
SCARTH,
SNAITH,
WOOD,
WHEATLEY, but I haven't gone into these so far.
