I'm looking for information on Mattie Eula Norton's parents. She was
born in Arkansas in February 1875. She died at Quana, TX in July 1956.
She married Paul Daughtry of Georgia. They had several children;

Vestal Daughtry (son)
Bill Daughtry (daughter(really))
Horace Daughtry (son) - someone related to him named Jackie;
associated places of Illinois and
Canadian, TX
Dan Paul "Sticks" Daughtry (son) - has son - Robert Paul Daughtry (of
Vermont?)
Lona Daughtry (daughter)
Mina Mae Daughtry (daughter)
Johnie Wade Daughtry (son) - (my grandfather) (married Ada Watson)

According to Mattie's death certificate, her father was John Norton of
Arkansas. Mother is unknown.

I've been told that Mattie had a few brothers that she moved to Texas
with. I don't know if she moved with her parents or not. Mattie's
siblings's names were Charlie Norton, John Norton, possibly one Doctor,
and other unknown siblings. I've been told that Mattie's sister (name
unknown) married a man, last name Rowe. They had a son, Guy Rowe. His
mom died early and his dad left, so Guy Rowe was raised for a short time
by his uncle John Norton in Plainview, TX. I think John Norton hung
himself in his barn, then Guy Rowe moved in with Mattie and her family
where he finished growing up. I don't think Guy ever married or had
children.

Paul's parents are listed on his death certificate as "W M Daughtry" and
"Kathrin Davis". My uncle
seems to think Paul's father was William B. Daughtry. Their
places/times of birth/marriage/death and parents are unknown. I've been
told that Paul had siblings, although I don't know how many, nor do I
know their names. I've heard that he and a brother left Georgia
together and travelled to Texas. I was told, Paul worked for a while at
a lumber company (Kirby Lumber?) in Cleveland, Texas. I also heard he
and his brother may have had a farm together near Lubbock, Texas. Paul
and Mattie raised their family in Quana, Texas after they got married. I
do not know where or when they were married.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
