I am sure w are discussing the same person, but our information differs slightly. I have Margaret Norton being born in 1851 in Georgia. I have her date of death as 1891. She marries a William P. McGaha and they have two children: Mary A. and George R. (dates of birth unknown).

But you were interested in her parents. Margaret's parents were Samuel M. Norton (b 1828, d. 1889 Pickens, GA) and Rhoda Sosebee (b. 1827, d. 1898 Pickens, GA.)

Including Margaret they had ten children: William T.(b1847), Jeremiah(b1849), Sara (b1853), Mary (b1856), Jasper A.(b1859), Stephen G.(b1866), Josephine A.(b1868), Siloam g. (b1870), and Seaborne (b1873).

This family can be found in the 1870 Census: Georgia, Pickens County, Jasper, Roll M595-169, p 19, lines 23-32, family visitation #985
