Looking for information on the parents and siblings of Silas NORTON born in 1824 in PA. Have two known siblings, Charles & Jane, with no information on either except that Jane married Dry STONE (?). Believe that all were born in PA. Silas married Sarah Mariah SCRIBNER in Warsaw, Wyoming County, NY in November of 1842. Marriage record states that Silas was formerly of Michigan. Found a Charles NORTON of North Plains, Ionia County, Michigan in census records with his place of birth as PA. Was wondering if there was a connection. Also noted that on census records for both Silas and Charles not only were they themselves born in PA but their parents were as well.

In North Plains, Ionia County, MI was also listed a Silas NORTON with his wife Patience. Another connection? In the 1860 census record for North Plains, Ionia County, MI this Silas was listed as being born in NY circa 1786 while his wife Patience was born in CT circa 1793.

Family has always claimed that my ancestor, Silas NORTON, was related to the other Nortons of Warsaw, NY. There is also the claim of a Native American connection. Unfortunately, have not been able to prove or disprove either of these claims.
Would appreciate any help with this family.
Thank you.
