The Haugen dictionary was written by Prof. Einar Ingvald Haugen of U.
Wisconsin and Harvard. Pronounced 'How' - 'gen' (the g as in get). His
father(John Ellingsen Haugen)and mother(Kristine Gorset) came from the
Haugen farm in Oppdal in Sor Trondelag in 1899. I believe the dictionary
is still on sale.
