Hi listers,

Here's the quote:

"Etter odelssøksmål fekk Melchior 30-5-1818 skøyte på dette bruket i
Kalhagen hjå konsul Meltzer, og 24-6-1819 gifte..."

I know that Melchior got the deed to the farm from consul Meltzer and
then married. Two questions:

1. What is odelssøksmål? Something to do with birthright?

2. Who might consul Meltzer be? Anyone in the history books?
