Deb:
Please send both of them to me. I know "Tracing Norwegian Ancestry" because
while I was still in MN, I went to the monthly meetings on the last
Wednesdays of each month with the possible exception of December.
Also, I told my husband about your notes of the sessions held at Decorah and
Ray was very pleased with this. I am printing them and will put them all
together in Word, making it one document and putting down your name as the
person who did that.

Subject:Two offers
I have two items I would like to offer that may be of
interest to you--both picked up at the table of genealogical
freebies at Decorah. I will only e-mail and NOT snail mail
copies.
1. Records Selection Table
This is a single, 8 1/2 x 11 inch page with three columns. I
started out trying to describe it and decided I did a lousy
job. Here is the introduction on the sheet itself: "The
table below can help you decide which records to search .
It is most helpful for post-1800 research. In column 1 find
the goal you selected. Then find in column 2 the types of
records that are likely to have the information you need.
Additional records that may also be useful are listed in
column 3." It looks rather useful, but is not Norwegian
specific.
2. Tracing Norwegian Ancestry
This is a pamphlet put out by the Norwegian-American
Genealogical Association and really tells more about the
association than about tracing your ancestry. It does look
like a good association to join.
I have scanned both and will e-mail them on request.
Sincerely,
Debbie Haughland Chan
