I sent this note to Ken who was so kind to answer my last posting about
painting bridges in the west. I have more info and hope someone else out
there can shed some light. Thanks.
Dear Ken,
I questioned my dad further today and found out more about the bridges or
BRIDGE. Originally he led me to believe it was Wyoming or Idaho because he
brought it up when we went to Yellowstone Park.
Now he says it was in Washington or Oregon. At any rate, the part I had
forgotten is that it was on, or I should say over, the Snake River somewhere
around 1911-1920 because my dad said he was a baby and he was born in 1911.
My father went out there because there was no work in Chicago. How would he
have known to go west at that time?
Thanks.
P.S. I may post this on the List
