Hello. I am trying to trace Lina Johnson of Mosjoen who left Trondheim on
8/12/1885 aboard the "Hero" with a destination of Philadelphia. Would she
have arrived at Philadelphia or would she have arrived at New York or Quebec
and then travelled overland to Philadelphia? Does anyone know any ship names
perhaps? The Trondheim records indicate that her ticket was "Bill. bet. i
Amerika." Does this mean that passage was paid by someone already in
America? Thank you.
