I found some new information and I was hoping someone might recognize the
names as I am told cousins, etc. still live in the same area.
My ggrandmother I have found was
Maja Olsdatter before coming to the US. Her father was Ole Olsen and her
mother was O. Thorersdatter. Ole and Maja lived in Valer
Østfold on a farm named Stensrød. (I just learned how to make these neat
little symbols) I found them on the 1900 census but can not locate her
mother, I'll keep looking. Just looking for anyone who might be working in
the same direction.
