Inger Iversdtr married Ole Rear in Wisconsin. He was Ole Haldorsen Rye in
Nord Aurdal, Oppland before he emigrated in 1856. He was born 18 March 1843
and baptized 2 April 1843 according to the IGI record. His parents are
Haldor Ostensen (Østensen) Rye and Guri Olsdtr. They had 5 children in
Norway before they emigrated: Osten, Ole, Gullik, Berit, and Marit. 5 more
children were born in Wisconsin. They did not all emigrate at one time.
Guri left first with the 3 youngest children in 1853. Ole left in 1856 with
his uncle Ole Østensen. Østen/Osten/Esten left last in 1858. The whole
family used the surname Rear in the US.

Ole, the second son, is my great great grandfather. According to
Esten/Osten's memories recorded in 1924, the family settled in Adams Twp.,
Green Cty, Wisconsin. In the 1880 census, Ole is married to Inga and living
in Mandt Twp, Chippewa Cty, Minnesota, with seven children who, according to
the census, were all born in Wisconsin and the youngest is 1 year.

I am trying to find out more about Inger Iversdtr. Family information says
she came from the Kalden/Kolden farm. There is a Kolden farm in Gausdal.
From IGI, there are three choices within the 1841-1845 years of birth, none
from Gausdal but one in Nord Aurdal. The first two are the same person and
from Vaagaa so that leaves #3 and 4.

Ole and Inger both left Norway with their respective familes and married in
Wisconsin before going to Minnesota. Since they were born between censuses
in Norway, I can't check them. I am trying to find out where Inger was born
and who her parents are. Could someone with access to WI records help?
And clues to determining where in Norway her parents came from. Thank you
