Don't worry about the SON/SEN, it's all the same.

You'll have to find more from the NZ end.

Naturalization might at least give you a date he left Norway/arrived NZ.

You thought he might have been in Boston for a while too, right?

Searching for Christian, son of Ole in all of Akershus is just impossible.
The names are much too common
