Gwen,

Lambrigt is not a very common name, so I think it's a high probability that
the one who married Ingri Knutsdatter (in the right place at the right time)
is the one your'e looking for.

I now found the Family Search marriage record for them as well (I missed it
the first time, but it's always good to go back and search a 2nd time).
This one has Ingri Knutsdotter born 1716, married to Stein Lambriktsson in
1734 at Stodle, Etne, Hordaland.
Her parents are named as Knut Larsson and Ann Larsdotter. There was no
source information given.

I then did a search for their possible children (using the IGI batch number
C429071 for born in Etne 1715-1755) with a last name like Steinsen/Stensen
and found these possibles:

(note that the fathers name, Axdal / Axdhal, are probably variant spellings
for Aksdal farm.)

- Marta Stenersen, christened 02 Oct 1735; father Steen Axdal

- Britta Stenersen, christened 02 Feb 1737, died 17 Mar 1737; father Steen
Axdal

- Britta Steneresen, christened 13 Apr 1738; father Steen Axdhal

- Lambrigt Stenersen, christened 21 Feb 1740, died 13 Mar 1740; father Steen
Axdal

- Anna Stenersen, christened 15 Oct 1741; father Steen Axdal

- Lambrigt Stenersen, christened 04 Sep 1746; father Steen Axdal

- Brita Stenersen, christened 15 Aug 1751; father Steen Axdal

- Knud Stenersen, christened 03 Nov 1754; father Steen Axdal

I also have an interest in Etne, as some of my ancestors came from there
(including Stodle farm where they were married - who knows, we may even have
some ancestors in common?).

At the time I was lucky to find someone who just happened to have some of
the Etne bygdeboks on loan from the libary and so was able to do a lookup
for me. However I'm sure that they would have returned them by now.

The volume that covers Aksdal is Etne-soga 3 for Gjerde sokn (parish).

Etne-soga 3 - Folket Gjerde sokn
Utgitt (printed):1995. Om boka: ISBN: 82-993682-0-0.. Isalg?: Sjekk Etne
Kommune (for sale?: check Etne municipality). Forfatter (author): Ståle
Dyrvik.

Grindheim parish is covered in volume 5:

Etne-soga 5 - Folket Grindheim sokn
Utgitt (printed):1995. Om boka: ISBN: 82-993682-2-7.. Isalg?: Sjekk Etne
Kommune.. Forfatter (author): Ståle Dyrvik.

There is a Hordland farm covered by this volume that may be Hardaland, the
home farm of your Brita Olsdtr HARDELAND (a.k.a. Britha Olavsen - when I
look at my previous e-mail, I didn't make it clear that Britha was the wife
of Lambrigt Torgeirsen, not Torgeir Grinheim.)

There is a lookup volunteer on the Norway Listers Volunteer webpage, named
Odd Braathun, who has the Etne-soga books. His e-mail address is given as
.
However, it seems to me that I may have tried this e-mail some time ago and
I don't think it worked.
If the e-mail is an old one, then you could ask the list if anyone else
knows how to contact him (I've done that before, and had responses from the
person who I was looking for as they were still on the list but with a new
e-mail address).

You could also try ordering these bygdeboks from a Mormon Family History
Center, or from your library (ILL may be able to get them for you).

Good luck,
Don
