Ford County
The first Norwegian in the area of Cabery was Christ Larsen from
Skaanevik, who settled at the above place in 1876. It is possible that he
was also the first in the county.
At Elliott, in the south part of this county, there is also a Norwegian
settlement, and there is a United Church congregation with a church. A great
number of the Norwegian population is from Hardanger, Søndhordland and
Ryfylke.
