Mary,
From Worth County, Iowa marriages dates:
TWEED, Gullick O. REINE, Anna Christine, 10 JUN 1897
TWEED, Knud J. BANG, Maria H., 3 MAY 1898
TWEEDT, Ole J. RAMSAY, Anne T., 13 JAN 1898, another source has Oct.
28, 1898
EVENSON, Edward LANDVERK [as spelled], Annie, 9 JUN 1897
I think the possibilities for Annie Landsverk Evenson's second husband were
either Gullick or Ole - they were about her age. Knud Tweed (1965-1949) and
wife Maria (1879-1956) had three daughters by the 1930 census. He couldn't be
Annie's 2nd husband, unless he was divorced from Maria. (They are both buried at
Bethel Lutheran Cem., Fertile Tsp, Worth County)
Gullick O. Tweed, was born 1871 in Norway and died in 1945 Aitkin County,
MN. In 1900, he was living in Mountain Valley, Winnebago County, IA. with wife
Annie, and two young sons. In 1930, he was a widower, living with a third
son, Gilman (1902-1993), in Salo Tsp, Aitkin County, MN. It's not certain if he
grew up in Fertile Tsp.
There was another Gullick (middle initial "J") from Fertile Tsp., (abt
1867-1957), but it appears he never married - or at least he was single in the 1930
census. He may be the same Gullick who died in Otter Tail County, MN in 1957.
Ole J. Tweed/Tweedt was born 1871 and died March 21,1938. By 1910, Ole and
Annie had 6 children - one son and 5 daughters. According to the Beaver Creek
Cemetery records (Fertile Tsp), his wife Annie died in 1937 [March 10th]. If
he was the one who married your grandmother, it would have been a very short
marriage!
Good luck!

This exchange about the Ramseys of Worth County, IA, reminds me that I have
never located my grandmother's second husband. Alas, I do not know his
name,
just that my mother thought it was Tvedt/or Tweed, or maybe even Sweet.
Anne Landsverk, was born in 1872 in Chickasaw County, IA, but her childhood
was spent in Fertile Twp, Worth Co, IA. She began teaching piano at the age
of 9. By the time she was a teenager, she was giving piano & organ lessons
to
a regular circuit of pupils living in Worth & Winnebago Counties. She also
played the organ & piano at the local churches and conducted their choirs.
In
1896 she married Ed Evenson of Lake Mills. They moved to Yellow Medicine
County, MN where they raised their family. Grandfather died in 1931.
Sometime around 1937, Grandma married an old childhood friend who was also
widowed. So, probably someone else from Worth County. Lots of
Tweeds/Tvedts
there to chose from. They would have been married in either Minnesota or in
Iowa.
This marriage was very brief. I don't know whether he died soon afterwards
or if the marriage was annulled. Grandma told me that his grown daughters
were
simply awful to her and accused her of gold-digging and trying to poison him.
Can anyone find Grandma's second for me? A million thank yous if you can,
Mary Farrell
