Subject: [NOR] Many thanks to all!

Hello to all,
I, too, have to say how glad I am that I was directed to this site. Thanks so much to everyone for all their help in tracing my Norwegian family. But special thank yous have to go out to Barbara Zanzig, who got me hooked on geneology back in May of this year when I was recovering from surgery and was bored out of my skull (I only happened across her personal family page by accident while Googling my mothers maiden name of Rachie); and especially Tor Kvien, who has helped me trace my gggrandmothers ancestors back to the early 1600's! I could never have imagined those results!
This morning, I have been working on my gggrandfathers side and have had a little luck finding some people but have run into a snag. Because my 4th greatgrandparents only had one son I am unable to get any further. Heres what I have so far:
Giertrud Halstensdatter Rake, b. 1791, Stryn (I only use that farm name until I find out the farm she was born on, I believe it will be Rustøen) Married to:
Kristian Lassesen Rake? b. 1789, Loen, Innvikfjord, Nordfjord, Sogn og Fjordane.
I believe I have found Giertruds parents as Halsten Rasmusen Rustøen, b. 1737?, and Gunille Andersdatter Hilde, b. 1748?.
I believe they moved to Loen shortly after their marriage in 1773.
That's as far as the records I've located will take me. Any help will be greatly appreciated, as always.
Dave
