Subject: [NOR] Thanks for Gluten free suggestions

Thank you for the suggestions about searching the archives for
"gluten" and "celiac".

I had 30 hits - 9 for the discussions yesterday - and 21 hits for
older discussions (mainly gluten free recipes).

I need resources for purchasing gluten free foods in Norway -
including foods without wheat starch. According to the Norwegian
Celiac Society website, many Norwegian gluten free foods contain wheat starch.

If anyone comes across a person with celiac disease in Norway, or a
person with celiac disease who has visited there, could you please
see if that person would like to contact me?

I'm concerned, be cause the two people with celiac disease, who will
be traveling with us in Norway, become extremely sick if they eat the
smallest amounts of gluten. (Even in seasonings.) They become so
sick that they can't leave the house - often for days.

Their trip to Norway would be ruined.

Deb in Aspen, the celiachandbook site was helpful - with its list of
restaurants.

Vickie in MN, thanks for the corn tortilla suggestion. These two eat
lots of tortillas. Also, we've used the Norway celiac site.

Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Carolyn
